Wearing clothes that fit
I went to the store today (Goodwill - I love a good bargain!) and I bought a bunch of clothes that I love that were comfortable and fit my body exactly the way it is. Not one thing is too tight (to be saved for later, when I get back to my “normal/pre-baby” size). Not one thing is something I don’t love. I didn't worry about whether it made me look thin or not. And, you know what, I’ve had more fun shopping today than I've EVER had before!
My body is my best friend
I actually just had the thought as I was passing by myself in a reflective mirror - My body is my best friend and deserves love and respect even if I’m not the biggest fan of how it looks. It feels good to be able to say that for the first time in my life and believe it.
Body acceptance isn’t about how your body looks
I don’t love how my body LOOKS since gaining weight, but nothing says I have to. I do love some things about my body, like what it allows me to do, and I appreciate how it works hard for me. I take care of myself physically, emotionally and mentally because I want my best life.
